Powered by Android and manufactured by Samsung, the new T-Mobile Sidekick 4G pays tribute to its heritage with its stylish good looks and a killer keyboard while redefining messaging and upgrading to 4G speeds. One of T-Mobile's fastest smartphones running on America's Largest 4G Network, the new Sidekick 4G is capable of delivering theoretical peak download speeds of up to 21 Mbps.

I'm using the sidekick 4G right now and it's a great phone. I LOVE it. It's great for texting, web, and all the great apps. I haven't had any of the "buggy" problems. What some people don't realize is donloading too many apps slows it down in general, but it's like that with ALL phones AND computers. Also you have to be careful with the apps you download. Some are scams and fishing sites and can make your phone completely crash and freeze a lot. I had this problem on my MyTouch 3G Slide. I'd definitely get this phone!

The Side kick 4g is out of date and many report numerous problems with it. SInce the pending merger with at&t, the data is much slower.

yeah i was planning to also get the sidekick 4g because of that new tmobile 30$ monthly plan!
i was looking into the nexus s which is a very good phone and i KNOW its a better phone than the sidekick but... the sidekick has the physical keyboard.... and from what i heard from all the youtube review its one of the best one out there so far. BUT since its from samsung it does uses this modified version of "touch wiz" and i heard thats whats making it have a lot of problems. " I " would personally get the sidekick and just root it. afterwards, flash a gingerbread rom to it and get rid of the touch wiz which is making the phone all buggy.

the only reason why i want to get a phone with a physical keyboard is because of texting and gaming! when you start to play snes, gameboy, psx emulators you would want physical keys to get the best experience in the game instead of virtual keys which i personally hate! there is the playstation phone "xperia play" withs its dpad and playstation buttons but i want a physical keyboard =)!!

if your main reason just to text and if your willing to root your phone then i think it would be a great phone and you would be happy of it. if not then the next best thing is the htc g2. it has a better camera, led flash, better build quality and just better reliability only con: sidekick physical keyboard is still better.

Honestly the sidekick is really out of date, and I personally don't like the look or the feel of this phone. There are plenty of good phones on tmobile, though. This is just my personal opinion if you just like to text a lot then it's a pretty good phone for you.
